Book a time at a shop
Ask a shop for a slot, and what happens until it says yes.
Some shops let you ask for a time ahead. Look for the Book slot button on a shop's page, or use the Takes bookings filter. Nothing is paid in the app.
Book a slot
- Open the shop and tap Book slot.
- Under Services, tap Choose services and pick what you want.
- Under Pick a date, choose a day. You can book today and up to six days ahead.
- Under Pick a time, choose a free time. Times are grouped into morning, afternoon and evening.
- Have an offer from this shop? Pick it under Have an offer?
- Tap Request booking.
If the shop is a long way from you, the app checks first. Tap Book anyway if you meant it.
What happens next
Your booking shows as Pending in the Bookings tab, under Upcoming. The shop accepts or rejects it, and you get a notification either way.
- Confirmed — the shop said yes. You get reminders 20 and 5 minutes before.
- Not accepted — the shop said no.
- No answer — the shop did not answer before the time.
At the shop
A booking does not hold a chair on the free-chairs number. When you arrive, the shop seats you and records your visit the same way it does for anyone who walks in.
Limits
- One booking per shop at a time.
- Up to 3 bookings at a time across all shops.
- Never two bookings at the same time. Times that clash with one you hold are struck through.
Tip Walking in is always fine. None of the booking rules stop you walking in when a chair is free.
